Hey, this is Brayden Smith.

You might be dealing with a company trying to sell you overpriced, not really good for anything life insurance polices or to join our MLM.

Yes! American Income Life is an MLM. Other names for MLMs that are often used:

-Pyramid Scheme

-Ponzi Scheme

MLM, or “Multi-Level-Marketing” companies skirt the edges of the law to evade legal issues involved with Pyramid Schemes.

Some MLM companies work hard to disguise themselves as legitimate companies.

The Approach

Build trust through people you know

Target someone easy, like the elderly. Once they are sold on this product, text messages will be sent to people they know. Family and friends.

Grab your attention, prove validity

The text will include a short video to grab your attention. At the end of video the camera will pan to the person you know on a video call to prove that you are really being contacted on their behalf.

Urgency

Building urgency is important in closing sales, so these texts or videos will probably include a reference to how busy the salesmen is, so you should contact them now to get in with these exclusive deals!

The Approach

You’ll get a text, and then a video file, here’s a transcript:

“Hey guys this is Brayden...one of the Veteran Service Directors here over at American Income Life. {insert name of person you know here} was actually able to sponsor out some no-cost benefits for you. And you guys will be seeing a group text that we sent over to you with regards to this. Reach out to me whenever you can, I am super busy. I will attach a calendly link as well so you guys can schedule a time with me. And [insert name of person you know here] was there anything you wanted to say?” Camera will pan to the person you know

See? We create a sense of urgency by mentioning how busy we are and then try to build trust by showing the face of someone you know.

And here’s another example, just so you know these are all cookie cutter templates you’re receiving. There is no special or exclusive offer.

“Hey guys this is Brayden, i'm a Veteran Service Director. I'm sitting down with {insert name of person you know here} right now going over the private Veteran's Benefits that he/she actually had access to. He/she's extending out access to you guys as well. You guys are gonna see a group text sent out to you as well just make sure you have a look at that, and {insert name of person you know here} did you have anything to say?” Camera will pan to the person you know

Choice is up to you!

  • An MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is a type of business model where individuals earn income both from selling a company’s products or services directly to customers and from recruiting other people to join the business. The structure is often shaped like a hierarchy or “downline”:

    • Direct Sales: Participants make money by selling goods or services—similar to traditional sales jobs.

    • Recruitment Commissions: They are also incentivized to recruit new members, earning a percentage of their recruits’ sales. Those recruits may then recruit others, creating multiple “levels” of salespeople in a downline.

    • Compensation: Earnings usually come from two sources: personal sales and a share of the sales made by people in the participant’s downline.

    Key Characteristics:

    • Products/services are real, but recruitment is heavily emphasized.

    • The higher up you are in the structure, the more you can benefit from the sales made by levels beneath you.

    • Success typically depends on building and maintaining a large downline, not just personal sales.
